a loving family

If you have a loving family, it is amazing what you can do without.
My sisters are the joy of my life! And we were all together yesterday. It's a rare thing.
For Kyrie's birthday last September I gave her a book called "8,789 Words of Wisdom" by Barbara Ann Kipfer. It is a collection of quips, quotes, cliches, and commonly held truths. I could read it for hours. The sentence below the photo came from that book. Here are some more I liked:
Life is made up of little things.
Cultivate your talents.
Life is an emotional journey.
Now what we give, but what we share makes us great.
Be the first to forgive.
It is easy to betray yourself.
Good things can be painful.
Get out of debt.
Life is just one damn thing after another.
How you say something is as important as what you say.
Imperfections can make things perfect.
You can't take it with you.
(I'm trying to make this one a theme of my life right now.)

I found another one in that 8,789 Words of Wisdom book that I really love...
"when passion fades, replace it with compassion."
